Freedom from Religion

In this lab, we read the articles on the court dispute between Locke and Davey.

The First Amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise therof." This means that the government cannot support a religion, or prefer one religion to another or irreligion. The First Amendment basically creates a wall of separation between church and state. Because of this we strongly agree with Locke, and think that Davey should not be awarded that scholarship.

Knowledge of the First Amendment

We took this test, and answered 21 out of 30 questions correctly. Obviously, we could brushing up on our knowlege of the First Amendment. Many of the questions we answered incorrectly we found the answers to be very surprising. We did not know that while we were at school, our rights were more limited rather than if we were not.
